Hello! Thank you for visiting. My name is Rob and I’m a Cleveland native living in South Florida. I’ve had a passion for the music, pop culture, and fashion of the 1960s since I was a kid! The C’est La Mode blog celebrates of the eclectic music of the 1960s! Everything from pop, soul, Motown, mod, girl groups, Ye-Ye French pop, and more!
Radio Show
In addition, the C’est La Mode blog is inspired by the radio show of the same name that I host LIVE on the third Friday of the month, 6:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m. (EST), on Jolt Radio, an internet radio station streaming from sunny Miami. You can listen to past shows via MixCloud or on the “C’est La Mode” page on Jolt’s website.
Originally, “C’est La Mode” premiered on legendary WRUW FM 91.1 Cleveland, broadcasting Saturday afternoons from Case Western Reserve University in the fall of 2015 until January 2018, shortly before I moved to Florida.
Favorite Artists
I regularly shine a spotlight on some of my favorite artists including:
- The Supremes
- Dusty Springfield
- Sandie Shaw
- Sylvie Vartan
- Francoise Hardy
- Johnny Hallyday
- The Small Faces
I’ll assemble play lists of classics, but also misses and deeper cuts by these artists and others. I may also highlight films, fashion and other pop culture bits from the era.
